Poorer by what metric? I wouldn't agree that life in Japan vs USA is so dissimilar that you can definitively say Japanese people/shop owners are poorer. For example, both countries rank highly on the Human Development Index [1].

Yeah, this seems like a terrible way to actually learn ML. Maybe it's for business-type people who want to stay up to date on the buzzwords?

I'm sorry, what? They only started to do the right thing once they realized a cover-up wouldn't be successful [1]. Even then, we're still hearing about attempts to silence scientists and destroy evidence. [1]: https:/

I agree with you this is precisely what a social safety net is for, but given that the United States seems to be vehemently opposed to universal health Care and UBI, there should at least be regulations in place to ensure the businesses we

Additionally, the OP seems to indicate the increased accidents are due to issues we have adjusting to the time change. You can certainly argue we should get rid of the time change altogether, but 2-DST would have the same time changes as o

Anecdotally: in places like Michigan where it's dark by 6pm in the winters, darkness really has no correlation with sleeping hours. "2-DST" would actually make it easier for working people to align their sleep schedule with

I agree in principle, but if the goal really is to give working people more daylight to enjoy, it's not really practical for something like this to happen bottom up. Businesses' open hours more often than not depend on the open ho

I recognize that my position is uncommon, but I am in favor of what I call "2-DST" (two minus DST), a position which recognizes that DST is fundamentally backwards . Fewer daylight hours in the winter means we should turn the cl
