I saw a great suggestion the other day - > The npm ecosystem needs something like the distinction between Ubuntu's "main" and "universe" repositories, so that you have a smaller subset of known-good packages with

When Apple identifies malware they can update macOS to block or remove it. This doesn't require the Mac app store to fix, and piracy doesn't have to be the cause, for instance Mac Defender was distributed through its own websites

Your computer might be struck by a meteor, but Apple has removed malicious apps from the Mac app store, and thousands from the iOS app store, despite registering the developers and reviewing the apps. https://www.hackread.com

The parent poster is referring to accessibility of the applications produced with Godot, not the accessibility of the IDE. Edit: it's not .NET it's C++.

You don't need to ban poor-performing software to use something else, or to wait for updates that will improve it, or for competing software to emerge. All of this can take place with nothing being banned. Banning has no place in soft

I'm not advocating treating any living thing that way, but society is absolutely okay with it. You can do this with children too but as they grow they will demand you stop and they won't sit complacently while you lunch or work o

Pets are closer to a slave than a child, they have no ability to ask or demand things of you and they get only what you choose to offer them. You can ignore every single need a pet has and just put them in a bag and carry them around like

Give us an LG Gram 17 with a little more oomph and better speakers. The 17" 2560x1600 screen seems like it would be perfect for development - same resolution as the 13" MBP but a little more space to spread it out. https:/&

They don't want you to landfill it, they want to buy it back for half-market-value so they can resell it or reuse parts and metals. With cheap repairs you'd get your MBP fixed for $300 instead of sell it back to Apple for $300.

My x86 Macbook Pro has been just extraordinarily capable, dual-booting Windows and using an eGPU has been great for gaming. Maybe some of this will survive through virtualization if we can assign eGPUs to virtual machines.
