I've been on finastride for about 12 years. I'm never sure if it's working or not. Scared to stop! How well did the hair transplant work?

In my opinion no it's not. The changes from brexit are minimal compared to what Scottish independence would be. Trade with UK dwarfs trade with EU. The Snp government basically buried their own economic report on the economic case for

Speaking of being misled, we were pretty much promised by the Scottish nationalists that this was a once in a generation choice. Seems we voted wrong the last time so here we are again with all the uncertainty to go with it. Though right no

Well the last personal finance book I read was written of Indian descent, he spends a large part of the book joking about Indian culture around getting a good deal on a car and generally being careful with money. Money and trade isn't

I'm really forgetful to the point I'm starting to worry about its impact on my career. I also ruminate like hell even about things that happened in high school, constantly feeling bad about things I said, did or didn't do.

The guys I work are mostly speaking English as a second language. It doesn't seem to hold them back (as far as I can tell). I'm just impressed they can do same job as me but in a second language. Hrm on second thoughts maybe that

I bought Deus ex mankind divided a year or two ago (I don't play games much anymore) the number of mechanics to learn is just annoying and they don't add much. Everything feels so much clunkier and slower than the orginal. I recen

Genuine question what is offset mapping and what would I see in Goldeneye showing this?

" It is cross-platform according to the docs, but in reality it comes from and is relied on mostly in a Windows world." Not my experience at all, everything I do at work is c# on containers running Linux.

It doesn't all fall into affordable housing category, people are complaining in London about new luxury high rise apartments because they are high end and "not affordable".

by bennysomething 4y ago
There was a post on hacker news about this. Study in Finland showed it doesn't matter the type of housing, if it's luxury people move up and out of what they are currently in and the people below follow. Not surprising really, it

Loot boxes, season passes, micro transactions: I'm sure there are some great modern games but as someone who grew up in the 80s and 90s these concepts are so depressing. I remember custom skins and new maps meant downloading them for f

On a related note I think this is what is sort of wrong about the raspberry pi as tool for teaching beginners: the first thing the user sees and interacts with is Linux. In the 80s on a bubber key spectrum as far as I can recall it booted s

Sorry this might be true, but certainly never been true for me. I work late, cook dinner, do house work, do garden work, do all the life admin, organise any repairs or do then myself. I am the main bread winner too. Yes my wife spends more
