Sweet - I had no idea. Thanks. It just seemed like that was a fairly common opinion being voiced that they were tired of getting woken up at 3 am haha.

It'd be awesome if there was an automation service for this. I'm sure tons of people would gladly pay to say "fuck waking up, it's already being handled."

Just do it. Seriously. What's the worst that could happen about pushing some open source code on GitHub? You don't have to start by contributing to openssl or something of similar magnitude. Just push some stuff to your personal o

That would be such an awesome site if practically everything wasn't on a Microsoft platform. I'd love to contribute towards some Objective-C but everything I see is .NET/F#

Tell me about it. I'm constantly using the autocomplete to look through all options to complete a method when it should be consistent with other similar things. For instance, you set OnClickListeners but you add TextChangeLis

I have experience doing something similar in a project at work. In this project I have one reusable ViewController (among others, but this example is about this one) that had nothing but a UITableView and a search box (a UITextField for sea

Good luck fitting 7 on a tab bar. Sometimes, in the real world, clients want things a certain way and you are paid to make them that way. I would like less navigation options, but a big app has multiple things. That's just a fact of li

Sometimes you just have a shit-ton of navigation items, and it makes more sense to put them in the hamburger drawer, rather than drill-down into a tab bar further, which can take you out of your current context.

Sometimes you don't want to shrink your clothes and are looking for like 4% moisture left or something. There are tons of options left for more granular washing/drying of clothes that haven't been explored yet.

Now if a ton more hardware manufacturers would start designing around automation - like a washing machine that automatically started drying your clothes next, and an app that could see how dry they are and ask if you want to keep going, etc

I use Sublime Text for my writing for this purpose. I'm fairly good at not making spelling errors, and I usually correct them when I type them anyways, but it's nice to not have something look like it's on a printed page alre

Yeah I know art and engineering are fairly intertwined - it was really all of the medical choices that showed up. I'm interested in psychology but not so much that half of the career choices shown should be that haha.

Almost everyone except for shitty recruiters take it in PDF. And that's because the recruiters want to fix things and add their own letter-head to it. Don't do that.

I used to think the same way, and when I bought an iMac about 3 years ago I just stuck to the Magic Mouse that came with it. I will never go back as long as I'm using a Mac now - it just became part of my workflow so seamlessly that us

I think most of this stuff applies if you're in industry as well. Basically the gist is don't be a dick, keep improving, and here's how to tell if you should jump ship or if the company you work for is worth sailing with.
