That was my first thought. It looks very interesting though. If it's for windows only I won't hesitate to use a VM.

The comments in response to that article are a microcosm of the problems we've seen with this debate. When this issue entered the public consciousness it was as if everyone had made their minds up before there was any evidence for or agains

Agreed. In some ways the browser actually lowered people's expectations of what "computers" can do. Perhaps the focus shifted. When I first saw Wolf3D as a kid I was amazed that the computer could do that. Same when I first used a GIS. Thes

RISC or CISC? Perhaps they'll borrow from each other enough that the distinction won't exist.

IBM isn't going anywhere. For a start their consulting arms (Global Business|Technology Services) make up the bulk of their revenue. And that business is booming. IBM has always been at the forefront of research. IIRC they have more patents

No offence to the OF project intended, but if nothing else the Cinder code appears to be a lot cleaner. I don't like the way OF wraps GL functions for a start. At a first gander it looks like Cinder lets doesn't baby you as much, and really

The cloud is not an awful lot different in principle to when we used to lease managed IBM mainframes. I find it hilarious how quickly the IT industry forgets the past. The thick/thin client rotation has been going on since before Unix epoch

I wouldn't doubt it. Microsoft has fought the hackers in a seriously lengthy and costly campaign. Apple on the other hand hasn't been nearly as big a target. It stands to reason that Microsoft would have developed better processes to deal w

Drones are fine for taking pictures from the sky and sending missiles into specific locations, but to get those locations you often need troops on the group to provide that intel- the enemy knows the drones are out there, so they don't stan
