I had a 2004 BMW that used to smell like that. I was told it was the glue they used in the car's interior. I loved that crayon smell; it wasn't offensive, just odd.

Love this idea. At a low cost, you humanize your product to your users, you provide people a chance to "do the right thing", you absolve people of their subterfuge, and you increase the chance of conversion. Even if only a small p

And no one at Apple seems to notice this loss of 'mindshare' because they're too busy figuring out what to do with all the money people are giving them for the iPhone.

I think it's hilarious (and typical) that the moral of the story is "I don't push without code reviews" not "I don't use bad words in test code."

Code reviews are about psychology. When you know your teammates are going to be reviewing your code, you write it differently than you do when you know no one but you will ever look at it. Static analysis and regression tests are tools to m

Get real. Linux needs a better user experience to explode. The amount of work needed to get even a 'user friendly' distro like Ubuntu up and running is ridiculous when compared to getting OS X and Windows in the same state. Simple

The fact that when this blog post says TDD, it means "writing unit tests" is really annoying. TDD is a methodology of writing features by writing tests first to define the behavior you're targeting, then writing code to match
