That sounds like a failing or faulty SSD. I had this problem on HFS+ on my fairly new 2011 MacBook Air. Downloaded a ton of data, system became unstable and wouldn’t boot after.

Compared to like plain Digital Ocean, yeah. But you get a lot for free with App Engine.

I agree with this. With Japan, there is no soft landing. But part of the problem is that they’re still trying to avoid immigration chaos, and without a viable business there isn’t much validation to you being there....

For personal accounts Shinsei is fine. For business, not so much. They only do Japanese speaking, they require IE for certificate pinning I believe, and a lot of banks charge extra for online banking even. Rakuten Bank is the best for start

If you go all USB-C, the new models are fine. I think the primary argument is that Touch Bar sucks and I think it's overall useless to people who are used to a keyboard being a keyboard that's it... Which is probably all pro users

Yeah, you can type a lot more in Japanese. Most characters stand for at least two US characters, which is most likely how they came up with the 2x decision.

We use memcache but it’s really unreliable. I recommend rolling your own anyway. Also I think there is an alpha for flex?

Glad to hear the free tier works. Thanks for your report. It sounds like maybe that is better tested and also doesn't require any support.

I wrote a bit more about it here: https://medium.com/@cafewifi/where-is-the-fastest-internet-a... Also, I centered the "Load More" button to make it easier to spot.

Try searching for "Romania" or clicking "Load More" to show more cities. We're sorting based on availability of fast networks, not just peak speeds. Seoul is a larger city than NYC so it probably ranks lower at the

Hey guys, so I pitched this idea a week ago at Startup Weekend Tokyo "Travel Edition" and people thought it was pretty cool. Built a prototype and demo'ed it, then decided "why not release this" and bought a domain

This would be a great potential full-time Touch Bar app. If the network graphs and stuff could be there, that would be nice.

I'm returning my 2016 MacBook Pro (just got it) tomorrow over these exact same issues. Bad performance, TouchBar accidental triggers, 16GB of RAM... etc. same things.

This may mean that they’ll decrease the commission charged to developers to as little as 10-15% this summer?

Why did this get downvoted? Haha... I'm excited about this acquisition, but Apple has been seemingly against the URL handler usage by third-party apps since having been abused by advertisers. Also, usage of these has been limited in re

You're incorrect. This data is not in OSM or elsewhere, it's fragmented. People have tried to build massive databases of places, yet there are clear gaps in the data all over the place. Perhaps topic-based apps and data are bett
