I just want to say thanks, this is why I love HN. I'm a fairly new user, and the amount of "inside people" that show up in threads really blows my mind.

As far as this book claims, aside from being resilient and brave, Scott seems to have bungled his way through most of his life. The fatal expedition seems to have been a long string of bad decisions and underestimation. I feel like the book

I still don't see why not, it takes a few clicks and costs a few dollars. It seems that if you are a person that expects this to happen then it's a good strategy. Otherwise you just decide which domain search you trust and hope yo

A plural system? You say that as though it requires no explanation. I don't get the "political considerations" part, but this is the first time I've encountered anyone referring to themselves as "we" online, an

I may as well not be alive if I'm not adapting to people using "we" as a personal pronoun?

I would vouch for this approach too. Ex lease laptops are really cheap, I've got a gen4 x1 carbon for easy carry daily use, a t460s at home, and so many of my customers love their ex lease Lenovos.

You mean that saying Craig->Creg is wrong? It's always bothered me and it's very jarring, but if you grew up being called Creg, then it wouldn't be wrong. But it sounds so wrong to me. I feel like it doesn't make sens

The pronunciation of names also changes over time, and across locations.

Craig in the USA is "Creg", and in other countries it's "Crayg". Language is constantly evolving.

In my opinion this is only true until the "unplanned" usage becomes mainstream. Language is always evolving. Once the majority is using the g sound from "gift" not "gin", the majority rule is correct, even thou

Do you have issues with Google/Gmail's policies etc or are you moving to a different host for other reasons? I run my business emails on Google Workspace because the price is right, but I've spent a fair amount of time consid

I would suggest checking some of the high value auctions and seeing what their proof is. It would be trivial to prove you worked at a company if that's how you were given it, you might even have photos of an event where stuff was given

I would suggest keeping it simple and using Windows 10's built in Quick Assist app. They just click it to open and put in the code you give them.

Are you saying there have been less executions under other political systems? Communism isn't evil, it's the people doing evil that are evil. Evil doesn't exist without evil people to perpetrate it. The problem with everyone

You think people would voluntarily isolate from each other without any rules in place?

It's not. It gives rich people more chance at getting a visa. People who are already citizens don't need a visa.

I think your are misunderstanding. The visa programme does not allow you to skip the queue for MIQ. It just gives you a higher chance at a visa if you are rich. It's not going to affect NZ citizens trying to return home, because they f

As far as I was aware, nicehash focuses on mining ETH at the moment and pays in BTC. At least that's what the default was for my setup.

Thanks for the excellent response! I love nicehash and have been using it on a little 1080ti rig myself. I'll probably stick with what they recommend once ETH changes. It does seem probable that the values of the new favorites will spi
