I’m a devops engineer, and I get my fill of tinkering at work. I use unraid because it’s just simple enough to fire all my slightly older smaller drives, and boot it up, and it works. It’s exactly the level of complexity I want when I just

As a photographer myself, how do you think street photography happens? Sometimes the mundane stuff is unstaged, and when I was shooting it, you end up throwing a lot of stuff away anyway. In North America, you have no right to privacy in a

The problem has always been that while the ground is well trod, the path is never clear. There are hundreds of ways to build any one widget, not even counting that the widget you start building isn’t the one they wanted in their head (but n

It seems like a fair chuck of the WSB folks know they are possibly going to lose money here, but they don’t care as long as they can help screw the hedge funds. https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/comments/

From a dev perspective, I see your point. Redmine was great for the reason that we documented a lot better inside tickets because it was lower friction.

As a contractor I've been paid by cheque, PayPal, and (my favorite) wire transfer. Always this was after sending them an invoice. I found PayPal to be the least friction about invoicing and reminding about due payments, though I lost b

As a user of cPanel, there's some assumptions you're making in this statement. I can and do build servers, at work. When I'm at home, I just want to do things with as little work as possible. Sometimes these choices are made

I’ve played with a bare OSM server before to try and get an osm based map working. Ends up you just have to scrub all the existing geometry and draw it from scratch, but it’s so-able. Worst problem I had was trying to generate realistic hei
