Of those, music is one where the word is most quickly applied to AI without qualifiers. It’s because the more abstract term sound doesn’t convey melody or rhythm. Behind that is movie where people will often call it a video so it does

An AI tool could construct a virtual scene and then take a simulated photograph or make a simulated photorealistic painting. While I would prefer that people always use words like virtual or simulated to describe it, I think it’s likely tha

AI is trained on images from physical cameras, so maybe it can be considered to be gathered from light. It is also simulating light. I can imagine some thought of raytracing as photography. So I’m not sure gatekeeping the term photography

Not unless they first removed the other part of the license for this mirror, which to me it seems the MIT license allows you to do. That said, I don't think most want to use open source under a loophole. So such a mirror isn't tha

It’s valid. It’s not the MIT license, but it’s not messed up or confused either. It’s just an unusual license. It means you don’t have to GPL your own code while your project is non-commercial and you aren’t paying for it. If you decided to

Vue is still recognizable as HTML, and to me looks more like HTML than JSX. This looks less like HTML to me than either Vue or JSX. It reminds me of Marko. Marko still looks messy to me after having tried to get into it, but YMMV.

In the PR, they use some of the ambiguity around the term AI to claim it's AI native. It isn't LLM native, but they indeed were using things that encompass AI. If anyone else thought of Panic, here's what happened with that

The KV cache feels more like a graph to me, like in the RDF sense. Each parameter could be numbered and given a URL it seems. I have some studying to do. I think building a simple neural net and looking at raw data for context in whatever L

I thought the context would also have floating point numbers so that tokens would be included in a more fuzzy way, and that when requests are sent it would result in loading slightly different tokens into the cache. Yeah my understanding ce

That sounds like a stretch to me. If not, I’m impressed how the articles can describe such similar things in such different terms.

Seems like a different thing. That paper appears to be memory reduction in caching while article appears to be memory reduction in content.

PyPA has the involvement of Microsoft. It’s not a big deal, but unlike this it has the negative of GitHub being emphasized every time package publishing is brought up. I don’t see any negatives from having the choice of uv, and it’s a lot s

The correct function comes down to what the browser APIs say is valid in navigation. Both loading cached data and making the request again are valid. In the case of soft page navigation (onpushstate/onreplacestate) it's very clear

If the site wasn't working it wouldn't break, it would download each page when you hit the back button. That would actually be a welcome result if I hit the refresh button wanting to make sure I was only looking at fresh data.

Memory would indeed be an issue for mixing MPA and SPA, but besides not being an issue for a full SPA it also wouldn't be an issue for sites that are all MPA except AJAX submissions that don't cause a SPA page change. Currently I

There's a question I've had about htmx for some time, might as well ask it here. Why does it keep the history cache in localStorage and not sessionStorage or memory? Some kind of a microoptimization? sessionStorage seems like it
