From what I understand, they weren't really allowed to sell anything not related to telephony as well. So they could create Unix, but they weren't allowed to profit off of it. So they just gave it away, because why not.

This was about C#, not C or C++. So it's a little more involved. The CLR, which C# targets, has explicitly sized types. There is no "int", there's only "Int32", which is a signed 32-bit integer. C# maps keyword

The size of primitives in bytes is something that will rarely matter and when it does, you can look it up.

It's the reason why healthcare is so expensive in the U.S. because this is not just true for drugs, but for procedures as well. IIRC. I worked orthogonally to medical billing, but never did billing directly. Fee schedules don't ge

Also impressionism is probably one of the most favorable art styles for AI. The lack of detail means there are fewer places for AI to fuck up. A street with cafe chairs and lights, that's like an entire genre of impressionist paintings

I agree, this is in the category of "if things were different, they'd be different". All of these things had to be some way, and in every way they could be there would be something different now. However, they were they way t

Is the goal “show the fight” or “use this technology”? I guarantee the people trying to watch the fight cared more about watching the fight than how the fight was watched.

Not to mention, we have a bunch of names that are just jokes, bad puns, random references, or idle wordplay. C# is named because it’s a step up from C++, which is one better than C, which is the next thing after B. Python is just an arbitra

I really can't take such hyperbolic rhetoric seriously. I had someone try to claim we had "complete lockdown for years", which is news to me. We had one year of sporadically enforced lockdown-ish measures. Although, we did go

It's just kind of stupid analysis. And definitely not "the beginning of the end of the Democratic party as we know it". Biden got 87% of the black male vote, Harris got around 78%. And yes, that is a 9% swing. But there were
