Thats a bit exaggerated unless he's working with really bad hardware/network connection. I generally see ~10 seconds. Which is still painfully slow.

Python 2 & 3 have destructuring. This is talking about having def fxn(a, (b, c), d): pass Be a valid function signature. So the destructuring is held in the function definition. Python 3 will still allow def fxn(a, x, d):

You can call CoffeeScript functions from JavaScript and vice versa. There's no reason that you can't use the UI library from code written in JS. The fact that its written in CoffeeScript is an implementation detail

If you're doing the whole thing every time, that would be your biggest problem, regardless of tools. It sounds like Brunch does incremental builds out of the box, which would definitely help you, but you can setup Grunt or gulp to do

Logging errors to the console can be helpful to find them during debugging/development (as opposed to having them fail silently). The goal isn't to leave errors in, its to expose them when something changes to make them happen so
