It's fun how most of these are "Using the normal mechanism instead of the SDL specific mechanism". I think we somehow end up biased against special-purpose mechanisms, so I'm not surprised these are common mistakes.

Yeah sure y'all no one is surprised by this, but it's still good to have studies you can wave in people's faces when they disagree with you.

Having uBlock installed can't be "something unusual" in this day and age, can it?

For things that touch the network and maybe particularly use TLS, sometimes people are suddenly in a hurry not to be using an old version anymore. The people with the classic compilers would probably have to be prepared to backport security

Hm, why do people choose to do that instead of using the fallback case unconditionally? Expectation that platform-provided snprintf is faster?

Writing curl today for your own use, on a platform/OS/tech stack you control, or to target all the places where curl runs right now? It's still deeply depressing how costly/impractical it is to apply improved technologie

Eh, "book" is widely used as the unit of literature. If someone says "I wrote a book!", you don't assume that they created exactly one physical item by writing on a lot of pages and tying them together or anything.

From reading through their stuff a bit, it sounds like you can get fake/internal non-DMCA strikes first, and then, usually, you can choose to escalate to require them to do an actual DMCA thing if you disagree hard enough, which seems
