It's disingenious to call it "excluding". The author cited the point of contention directly and linked to the rest, explicitly for the purpose of picking up on the context. I believe that is fairly standard practice.

I think the grandparent's post was important to this discussion because it makes the "inappropriate sex-related comments" issue thing slightly more relatable for those of us who have not had to deal with sexual harassment professionally.

Of course the author says that! He has cats, he must be infected too! But seriously, the claim wasn't that the parasite immediately kills people but makes them more disposed towards self-destructive behavior. The fact that, 2000 years after

Maybe it's not entirely rational, but I'm not a fan of this attitude even disregarding the points about scaling and mobile devices in the sibling post. Computers are unimaginably fast, but people still wince at software that feels unrespons

I'm 99% sure you're wrong about 1). The internal pointer is the VALUE that is pointing to the struct RString. `str2 = str` will make another VALUE point to the same struct RString. Consider str = "foo" str2 = str str.object_id == st

Yeah, there's preprocessor cleverness. It will choose either of unsigned, unsigned long or unsigned long long. There's a "#if defind HAVE_UINTPTR_T && 0" section, I'm curious why they're effectively disabling that.

The only improvement I wish for would be to let middle-clicks open things in new tabs, like it does in all those other websites that aren't drowning themselves in clever javascript.
