AI has made hiring especially in technical industry an absolute shit show. I agree with parent comment that ideally government could do something about it but agree with you on how would you even do that. Maybe if they required all the job

I was hiring manager for 3 positions about 4 months ago and the amount of fake applications out there was mind boggling to me. I would say 90% were either entirely fake or had the exact same generated ai text. It got so bad that we started

For computer health your PC needs an ad blocker, but also for mental health. At what point will the CDC recommend using it

You have to call city hall to get permission to grow grass in your own backyard? Is that a HOA thing or what's going on there that that's required?

Been using this for over a decade, back when it was called sharelatex. Always liked it for the free cloud storage, nowadays mostly just use it when I need to update my resume.

Yes, I would be a lot more concerned about that than people finding stuff on stackoverflow. I can see copilot or some other gpt "suggest" stuff like this soon

Why do they say 179,000 million instead of 179 billion? Is that common in their industry?

Thanks so much for your detailed reply. This looks very cool indeed. I've had a couple tiny projects in F# in the past that never went anywhere, but you're describing essentially all the parts in a programming language that I want

Do you know of or have any shareable (sample) projects implemented in your way of doing F#? It sounds very intriguing to me

Knowing what out of tune means probably come down to having grown up with a musical instrument that has to be tuned from time to time

How does this compare to immich? I spent a few weekends ago setting that up and it's working great, though it doesn't always detect faces correctly and swiping through images is a bit slower than Google photos

While I agree that you should rotate accidentally exposed secrets, it should be noted that you can remove old history from git reflog by expiring it I see git reflog kinda like an OS recycle bin

This looks really useful, I've used similar websites in the past but it's nice that it's all together here in one place. If only you could not have it redirect on load, it makes the back button break. Clicking back to return

Yeah I see what you mean, it's not so much about the first time it's deployed but for future updates where you want to update one dependency but another one requires it to stay the way it is

Wouldn't the library dependency hierarchy have been figured out during development in order to get it to a state that can compile? I'm assuming if you're pinning a dependency you already have something that compiles
