Employers can reimburse employees for home office costs provided they meet the existing definitions of home office and proper, regular accounting is done. That money is not considered taxable income to the employee. However, an upfront flat

Depending on the situation, commuting expense could be small or quite large (ie, commuting to nyc from suburbs). More difficult to quantify may be the increased energy use by home employee (so much for programmable thermostats), perhaps los

Unless IBM plans to float some new shares (highly unlikely) they have no reason to care about what ETFs or indicies they are in. If anything, cutting the dividend and reinvesting it into research/capex and paying down debt will go a l

The previous CEO did a horrible job. The workforce morale, not good for quite some time, fell further. Rather than try to leverage the deep and unqiue assets/IP of IBM, she sold off many, then made a poor attempt to chase the same typ

It does make you wonder if this whole time the Intercept has just been a spook front to manage the revelations known to be coming from 'unfriendly' media. This is all confusing and none of it any good.

Which is why IOS should default to sending JPG or PNG to/between any non-bespoke Apple product until such a time that HEIC is universally common. That should be transparent to both the end-user as well as the receiving end. One can mo

This was brought up during the daily Cuomo yesterday. The media have not fully explained the new reporting (am I cynical if I say so they get better clicks?) CDC mandated that all localities, not just NYC/NYS, count probable deaths in

The unfortunate thing is the display is only 4 bit. At 16 bit I could see using it to display b&w prints. The dpi is a little low but is ok for viewing at distances greater than about 6 feet.

Google also has reduced its memory by a great extent. Searches run many years ago which turned up results from the early 90s on return nothing now.

Even a home for which the mortgage is paid must still pay property taxes, order 1.5% give or take. There are maintenance costs as well, assuming they wish the home to not decay.

The flip side of that is over counting. I have read (but do not have source handy) that Italy may be over stating the death toll by lumping any death of a covid positive patient into 'covid deaths'. So if you die of a heart attac

I have a 295 page book in production. The print cost for paper bound is $5.46 for case laminate $10.02. Contrary to what you may think, print costs are not going to limit $0. Quite the other way, they have risen over the past seven years

The most difficult thing will be getting your math up to speed so you really need to dual track the physics and math. The Landau books are good but assume probably more math than typical college text in mechanics, em, qm, etc. Probably a bi

While I am not a huge ePub reader, I have not had the tablet crash while reading them. Agreed on the first time delay. Lack of backlight not a big deal for me; rather use a room light if necessary.

You won't find a high end reader (other than Sony?) that is in this size which is quite useful for those reading scientific papers, a bit blind, or who want to use it for sketch/art. It is only slightly larger than a typical hard
