It often revolves around whether the company has a physical place for you to work. Just because you are not using it may not alter the tax situation.

I think you mean they tax you as a non-resident who is earning income in MA. My understanding is it all comes down to whether or not there is a 'nexus' and that can get some what complicated and states vary considerably as to what

The "press" has historically not been neutral; political sheets/tabloids heavily aligned with specific parties or individuals were very common in American history until the 20th century. There was little, if any, notion of &q

Worth is an interesting thing. I wrote and published a very niche book that was, for all intents, a mind dump of my experiences doing a particular volunteer, non-tech job over a three year time span (now eight). The value to me was the cle

That is not entirely true. For instance, from 1954 to 1967, the maximum capital gains tax rate was 25%, while marginal income rates were very high. Yet companies paid good dividends (prior to 1960 the market dividend yield was consistentl

A share buyback should be stock price neutral at the time it is done - there is no change in the value of the company. Cash goes out the door while also reducing shareholder equity. Avoiding the shananigans that management play with the bu

Not sure how giving a day or two notice vs 10 (two weeks) is going to matter in the big picture for anyone. You'll be clocking in/out 9-5 and distracted by people (hopefully) wishing you well. Anything you do will need extra revie

I would only consider this if I were retiring from a company which I had an outstanding relationship with management and fellow employees. The 1950s two weeks is a thing of the past and no longer viable or practical. A fair number of employ

A line is one dimensional, to stand "in" line implies more there is more than one. Did a brief stint at our London office in the 90s and had a long debate with one of the locals about 'on' vs 'in.'

It is not just range anxiety. Most people do not want to wait the length of time it takes to charge up. And IIRC, 'fast charge' has very negative effects on battery life. And nobody can bring you a container of electrons if you do

Many (most?) people can remember a few time zone offsets (ie, EST -> PST = 3). From a practical and business standpoint, I don't see the current system changing, at least not by more than a small amount.
