I self-published a 300 page book through Ingram in 2012. It is pretty niche and only sells about 200 physical and 50 or so Kindle copies a year. The whole thing was done in LaTex with a Tufte book package; there are a few tables and image

So they should penalize all their other clients who are not involved in trading GME? Everyone else should pay the price because DTCC raised collateral requirements to settle GME trades?

DTCC is not a villian. You would have the same problems for any settlement greater than T+0 and in the limit T>0 the problem actually increases as you eliminate the possibility of netting positions.

This is a portion of a message sent to all users that IB sent out Friday afternoon: We are seeing unprecedented volatility in GME, AMC, BB, EXPR, KOSS and a small number of other U.S. securities that has forced us reduce the leverage previ

I think what he is suggesting is that historically buying after a 20% or more sell-off leads to outsized gains in the US market. That does not preculde already being invested as sitting on the sidelines waiting for such a move can be self d

The problem with traditional retail being short naked puts is they generally do not have a pool of cash sitting on the sidelines to absorb margin calls and/or buy (if assigned). Likewise, buying in a tanking market on margin entails ad

Generally speaking, a seller of naked puts is looking to supplement income via a stock they are willing to own at a lower level. If you are not willing to take delivery, it is probably better to sell a vertical spread so that there is a bu

1- RH is one of hundreds of brokers, not all of whom stopped taking trades for opening positions in GME. Is your point then that RH traders are the only buyers? Is it a ponzi scheme then? 2- It is NOT an EULA. Your agreement with a broke

That is not always the case, certainly not in modern times. If you have a full service broker and there appears to be sufficient time to contact you, they may do so and give you a chance to pick what to close out. However, very few people
