What Apple are doing with Metal feels eerily similar to what Microsoft did when they launched DirectX back in the day. If we're lucky, it won't be as successful; decades of graphic stack fragmentation hasn't been pleasant to

I absolutely love being a programmer and wish there were more hours in the day for me to tinker with stuff and spend time on toy projects. I'm impartial to working as a programmer, though it pays the bills quite well.

I wonder how many books would be on the list if it were somehow easy to extract mentions by name instead of by link. Mythical Man Month is mentioned regularly here and I don't think it's linked very often because of how well know

Avoid the default subscriptions, they're absolute garbage. Reddit subcommunities, especially technical ones, have some fantastic discussion in them.

It's important to note thought that there was always a fairly significant grey market for consoles and games in China. Some big department stores even sold major consoles and games, including Friendship Stores[1] which are state run. [

I'm yet to see strong objective reasoning either for or against JSX, it seems to really polarise people. From an Elm perspective, I feel that the HTML API is well designed and doesn't get in the way, so I'm not entirely fuss

It's worth pointing out that Uber has already become massive in China; whenever I'm in Guangzhou there are a ridiculous amount of rides available and you're rarely waiting more than a few minutes.
