This is why artists release "mixtapes" all the time for free instead; can't sue someone who's released their tracks free of charge. I mean, I guess you could try , but you won't make much doing it.

You're "okay with" someone being in travel-limbo for seven years, effectively a prisoner in their own country, due to a clerical error ? Wow. This is about as far as you can get from "the system worked", by the way

> Attorneys working pro bono spent as much as $300,000 litigating the case and $3.8 million in attorney’s fees. So it costs about 4 million dollars to recover from the United States government accidentally, arbitrarily ruining your life.

There were bitcoin apps on iOS. For two years. There were no attacks.

I'm going to go with "because they're a terrible, monopolistic company that doesn't really care at all about their users." This wasn't always the case.

> Who would work for a government agency like the NSA or GCHQ? At this point, I think they only hire psychopaths.

You weren't commenting about the article, though. Keep digging that hole deeper.

What kind of flippant, useless comment is that? You dismiss his entire experience as "claptrap" and then sarcastically suggest he go on a killing spree? Get the hell out of here.

For two years , that bitcoin wallet app was available for download from the App Store. Now, suddenly, it's an issue of "reputation"? What a load of crap.

Apple's a pretty terrible company. This should've been expected.

> I'll grant you that maps looks nicer and nicer, but it becomes less and less usable at an alarming speed. I've found this to be the trend with every Google product. Take a look at what they did to Deja News -- pretty soon

And as soon as this news broke, DOGE/BTC went down to .00000154 from a high of .00000185.

I sincerely doubt that's true. Like, really, it's a ludicrous claim. I know no one with a jailbroken iOS 7 device, and it's enough of a pain in the ass to get Cydia onto iOS 7 that very few people have bothered.

apropos of nothing, that floating social media bar in the middle of the page on this site is infuriating .

Not necessarily. You can send the CONTinue signal to a process using the kill command. This will not cause the process to terminate.

Sure would be nice if someone would jailbreak the iPhone, so we could have these sorts of options in our little walled-gardens too.

I left NetSol almost a decade ago. Their ludicrous pricing was bad enough, but this is basically a scam they're running now.

Right, except it isn't a physical object like cash is, it can't be stolen from your person like cash can, and most people keep nearly all of their 'cash' in electronic accounts anyway.

Nah, I'll see it for what it is: two imbeciles (or, more than likely, one individual imbecile who registered two accounts) nitpicking.

Funny how two brand new accounts were created just to downvote and insult me. Didn't know the GOP was astroturfing HN now, too.
