At least once before, posting my email on HN lead to a lot of spam. Since there's no way to edit or delete comments after a few hours, it seemed like a bad idea to do it again. Making a reddit account takes literally 5 seconds so I did

Yes. Web developer here looking for someone with a B2B idea they are confident they can sell to a niche market. Prefer no social media related or physical products. Can PM me on reddit if you want to get in touch: https://reddit.

This seems counter to a lot of advice I've seen. They want managers to empower employees and delegate tasks. At a certain scale it would be impossible to micromanage like this. What would you say to that?

>- Sell your startup when a buyer comes knocking at your door. Would you qualify this as "depending on your goals"? A lot of the advice I read online, I think even some PG wrote, is to not take buyers seriously unless you'

An obvious solution to this I've heard of before is to make the minimum salary for H-1B workers to be very high. Over six figures. If the talent is really so rare and difficult that you can't get it in the US, surely that talent i

If you removed votes from all accounts newer than the day you announced this entire program, what would the tally be? If I had to guess it would have still won.

I am not sure feeling uncomfortable around someone or not having a connection with them is a reasonable excuse for a company that wants to encourage diversity and reaching out to disadvantaged groups. Racial bias in workplaces is largely th

Would organic processing actually be any faster? A human brain is capable of more than an Intel CPU in some ways due to its complexity, not due to its speed. And obviously the brain falls short of the CPU in many many ways.

I would love it if I could find even a single person who deeply understands a real-world problem and knows of a way to fix it that two can people can bootstrap together. I have never met one. I have met endless people who have a mediocre un

Can you give a quick summary of the non-hardware problems that need solving and can be solved by an outsider to the industry with no connections? Not having any knowledge of solar, it seems like the only thing to do is have something that m

Good luck, I voted for you. I would love a simple system like this - fresh food in my background with low effort and cost. Lots of reduced waste from grocery store shopping (in terms of shipping to the store and associated spoilage). Also a

On its surface, the movie appears to be praising Snowden. I am convinced it is intentionally shitty and is deliberately overly praiseful of Snowden so that viewers will find it annoying. The net result is that people leave with a negative o

My guess is laziness. The easiest way to get a conviction is to the the shitty things mentioned. It requires less thought and less effort but still appears to be doing your job as a prosecutor.

Maybe a recency bias. I have used computers since I was a kid, my earliest memories are Windows 95 but I am sure there was some before then too. I remember constant BSOD, constant application-crashing bugs with vague error messages, no abil
