I remember a time when the Pi was just 15 euro. Now it's nowhere near that. There are plenty of x86 dual and quad cores around 100-150 "dollars". They are just as bad as the new Pi. Better spend a bit more and get a much bet

With the need for active cooling, I am no longer convinced Rpi is that great anymore. I loved mine 3b+ but at this point a cheap x86 sff provides much more utility at similar cost and power levels. The Ryzen 7840 stuff is great but even a 5

It's easy to agree with this quote but I am writing this response because it made me feel like there's a bit too much repetition, or maybe exposition. First two sentences felt like enough to convey the whole thing to me.

Great job. Maybe the best effort yet? That said, I liked the windows 8 look and feel better though. Not a huge fan of shiny glass aero effects. Grouping was quite the innovation back then. I wonder what happened to the (woman) who created i

Clearly even modern devices are nowhere near 5ms but hey, let's just agree your perception is more forgiving.

I think your conclusion could only make sense with vsync on. Otherwise, doing something could only be slower than not doing something.

sli and crossfire. Double the cost and higher fps for equal or negative latency gains. at least in talos 2 and highest quality fsr, 120 fps feels like 70, maybe 80.

After turning FSR on and off in Talos Principle 2, I think this upscaling thing is not as bad as I expected, though lag is a bit of an issue. I wonder if dedicating more transistors (not fixed function) to the task could improve the issue,

I did come back to it as an adult. Spent a while doing 2d and 3d graphics. It was much easier as an adult but rendering involves too much of this math stuff and I gave up. Definitely not for equipped to shine as graphics programmer. Which b

Pretty sure you have forgotten or never experienced the awful bt devices from 15 years ago. Or maybe latency is not a big issue for you.

Oh, understood the main point just fine. You are not wrong. Just got a little upset about the rest. I wouldn't have reacted as I did had you phrased it a bit differently, like in the post I am currently replying to.

I guess you mean well but this sort of reasoning is borderline offensive. I said math is hard to me and you immediately jumped to "abstract reasoning" as if that means math and nothing else. Saw plenty of this in school. Not appre
