I hope this guy writes in some kind of shorthand/code that conveys meaning to some subculture, cause it didn't make any sense at all to me.

You really can't say too many good things about John Tromp's remarkable paper.

This is just another retelling of the "Four Horsemen of the Internet Apocalypse": Child Porn, Terrorism, Drugs and Identity Theft. Absolutely no outgoing links to add verisimilitude, either. Bad PR person: no latte.

Personally, I couldn't believe that they put generics in Java, after the weirdness with C++ templates, and all the problems they buy you. Java very definitely jumped the shark when they added generics.

This is just the sort of self-important self-congratulation you would expect from "Forbes". I would suppose that "Forbes" readers are upper management, and, like George Will, only own a single pair of jeans worn once yearly. Of course look

This article misses quite a few important details. Most importantly, the first 6 digits of a Visa numer constitute a "BIN" (Bank Identification Number). I have heard that MasterCard uses variable number of digits for BIN, but I don't have

Hey, wait! Where's the "Market Share" argument when you need it (and it works against IE)? Doesn't Doctrine and Dogma inform us that a larger share of the flaws just mean a larger market share? I mean, I hear that all the time about Windo

fork() by itself - inelegant. fork() - do ARBITRARY stuff in child process - exec(), now that does all kinds of things that a spawn()-type process creation cannot do. fork() allows the ability to do anything before exec(), setting up light
