I consider myself relatively libertarian, so I find myself nearly in shock that I believe a single payer system is the inevitable, and perhaps best, solution. (Although your generic vs branded thing makes no sense, no offense) Our problem i

It's still what's known as "general collateral" - it's not only easy but free to borrow shares. I shorted more shares yesterday.

Normally I like Citron's work, but when it comes to Valeant he is a total clown. Like most of the delusional defenders such as Ackman, Citron focuses on the wrong things like accounting and channel stuffing (although I believe there is

Full disclosure: Valeant is my largest short position. 99% of the time, shorting stocks is unemotional. Valeant is much, much different. This company is a CANCER on our society, and I don't say that lightly. It is a microcosm for why

I've long called this the "Dr. John Theory of CEO's" - I was in the right place, but it must have been the wrong time. Take McDonald's for example. Their stock was up a bunch yesterday on nice earnings, and everyone

I manage money for a living and I always get fascinated with frauds and "bullshit businesses" for shorting. This whole flap is so funny to me because about a year ago after reading a few things about Theranos and hearing a few an

Ugh. Such a piece of trash organization that sadly represents today's "new" media. Mostly just useless clickbait (eg, headline reads "Stock Crashing!" when it's down like 5.5%) and re-posting of other real orga

I would disagree that many people are looking at this business plan with envy. CEO's of "real" pharma companies know this business model is possible, but no one bothers with it. I think this is partly out of ethical standards

That's the loophole though, the quantities are so small that realistically, no pharmaceutical company has the incentive to make their version of the drug, even at $750 per dose. There are still costs to making a drug that's off-pa

There is no shortage of scammy software companies like AVG, but what always cracked me up about AVG was their logo. Do you think it's a coincidence that it bears a strong resemblance to the Windows logo?? Why might that be, hmmmm? Mayb

You're right that the poor face many asymmetric relationships day-in and day-out. Whether I would describe it all as "predatory" I would disagree. Again, I think this is a very, very uncomfortable topic to have an honest co
