Surprised this comment is getting downvoted, because it is dead-right. The core "problem" is that the Bay Area has experienced a gold rush unlike any other in human history, and it's happened so quickly that some things can&#

Who is going to lend tens of thousands of dollars to an 18 year old with no income, no assets, and no credit?

Wow it's almost like the free market could've solved this problem but government laws got in the way and distorted everything and caused more problems than they solved. Weird.

One of my best friends just got diagnosed with colon cancer at 38. Surgery last week, hasn’t even gotten the pathology report yet. Anecdotal I admit but when it hits close to home you see things a little differently.

Agree completely. I got rid of my employees and now outsource everything. I'll never have another full-time employee ever again, if I need someone they are going to work as a consultant and get a 1099. For every guy like this one at Ma

It's issues like this that make me deeply skeptical of Google's long-term future. For tech companies, I would argue that company culture is by far the single-greatest asset, so seeing these stories about Google it's not dif

Companies go public for all sorts of reasons. Facebook went public because it was almost being forced to by the SEC because of its size. Microsoft went public simply because other employees who were mega-rich like Gates wanted to cash out..
