This is good advice. Sometimes fixing things requires not fixing them yourself before getting people to agree that it's a problem

Bigquery alone is the reason I recommend GCP. That said, both AWS and GCP have some real rough edges.

It's amazing how hard it is to stay up to date in the data space, so it will be interesting to see how this course has been updated.

Yes. This is why we're seeing a bunch of whining about a labor shortage, because people can now choose to be paid a little more fairly.

Core is SQL + Python (or Java/Scala for the actual Engineering part). Most of the data warehouse work is data transformation and scheduling, so Apache Airflow and writing DAGs in python is a large part. For some of the larger streaming

I was going to come here and post that I dislike method chaining because it is harder to read... And then I read TFA and realize that I actually dislike people writing poorly formatted method chaining pandas code. The examples in the post a

Suffer mostly. Joke aside, data engineers do a wide variety of engineering work related to data. Often that's around data warehousing and business intelligence, sometimes it's work on big data streaming or storage systems, or buil

The IRS currently receives almost all the information needed to do taxes for most people. There are not technical reasons why they could not share their calculations with you and give you the option of accepting them or doing them yourself

Going to give a +1 for FreeTaxUSA. Significantly cheaper than H&R Block and a user interface that is just as good. The large tax companies are engaging in regulatory capture and ought to be sidelined in favor of a healthy society.
