The beta is very likely to happen by Q2 this year. All of the release blockers are pretty much done. The big blocker was getting the package manager in shape, and setting up official build bots and repositories. These are done now. I am opt

I have been working on a document management system: https://github.com/bgroff/kala-app in Django. Still needs some work, but it is getting closer to a big release.

Some will even give you 0% for a year and free debt transfers. But yeah seems like a bad idea.

There have been lots of breaking changes along the way. Django is pretty good at giving developers a heads up of what is deprecated and slated for removal, but there have been lots of growing pains in the 1.x release cycles.

I have used it as a general data store, where I can accept eventual consistency. It is a very good distributed db if you are ok with the trade offs it imposes, mostly non-atomic commits to your cluster.

I have been learning Clojurescript with re-frame (basically react + opinions about how to write apps). This has been the most fun and logical way to write SPA's I have ever experienced. Bonus points because it will hot-reload code (fig

As an interesting tangent, to maintain BeOS compatibility, Haiku is still being built with a GCC 2.95 compiler. They also build with GCC 5 and a Clang port is underway, but those obviously loose compatibility.

If you stand 6' tall then double overhead is a 12' wave (generally). Kinda depends on Hawaiian vs mainland scale, but pretty good size to be sure.

There are TemplateView and View that give you all the good stuff of CBV's without needing to use the more tailored versions. That way instead of needing to do if request.method == 'GET': something() elif request.method ==

If you have not recently looked at what is happening within the Spring Framework, I would highly suggest taking a look. There are some really great tools that are baked in. Also if you are planning on writing containerized microservices, Sp

I don't think you need an address to get a driver license. To open a bank account you need to verify your current address with something like a current bill or pay stub.

You are correct, the 80286 was a 16-bit processor. You might have been able to run Win 95 on a 386, but a 486 was probably as low as you really wanted to go, and really a Pentium was needed to have a usable system.
