This looks super helpful! Thank you for this project. I agree with other commenters, it could be a little less wavy, but to be honest I don't care much if this works, after all its just a wireframe.

Everything is a file doesn't scale to more than one system without resorting to hacks (Using NFS or the likes). One condition for a scalable system is a network interface imho. Cron doesn't have that as well, which usually leads t

An example of this is Travis CI. Most of their platform is open-source, still they are pretty successful with their companys SaaS and Hosted solutions.

It is not platform independent because it will never work on windows. A two step procedure of 1. picking the OS/distro and 2. the few lines to safely install on that system is hardly more complicated imho. Much safer though

Hey one of the developers here. This project started as a side project six month ago, however several of our customers quickly demanded we make it a product. We are excited to release it to open beta today. Our main focus with this product

Getting out of my comfort zone here, as I feel we are not ready, but my company is working on a product that is focusing much more on application profiling than NewRelic and less on the monitoring that is built exclusively for PHP: https:&

So you are sugessting better prematurely "optimizing" every call to be remote from the beginnig? Wouldnt anyone wrap remote services behind a facade anyways instead of directly calling a http client? I fail to see how this leads t

I mention Wordpress only as great example of "getting this done" approach of PHP. Never did i mention it as example of "high quality PHP code". phpBB and Drupal have their problems, but they both improved their code-base

some feedback from me: 1. the value types are not immutable, which will make it very hard to work with them on larger scale. You should create new instances instead of modifying the original ones, keeping the originals intact. 2. The object

Doctrine is explicitly not suitable for non cache usage. You should remove the ORM from the test and use the DBAL only instead if you don't have caching introduced. Additionally you are not bootstrapping the Symfony cache correctly, you nee

I disagree heavily. Refactoring tests is as important as refactoring "production" code. Following the four elements of simple design ( http://www.jbrains.ca/permalink/the-four-elements-of-simple-... ) you can use test refactorings to find b

Currently the refactoring available for extracting code is "extract method". "extract function" is not available yet and may even be implemented as "extract static class" or something, because it may be safer to achieve.

You picked the simplest refactoring, for converting local to instance variable I agree with you, this is easy in Vim. But still there are some potential problems: 1. The variable already exists in the class. 2. You accidently mark to much o
