Before, "good enough" for the iPhone was good enough, as nothing else came close. But with how polished Android has become of late, the bar is much higher, and Apple's "good enough" is no longer at the same level of other players. Siri woes

I was actually shocked when they didn't call the iPhone 5 "the new iPhone", since it was after they'd done so with the iPad.

It's not necessarily stupid—it could be so that your username can be included in URLs (like Twitter). "Lower-case only" is stupid though.

Ah, I can see that now. I know nothing about rabbits; maybe carrot (queuerot?) would have been a better choice.

The name "Celery" made me think of the task queue[1]. In both cases though it's a very random name. [1] http://www.celeryproject.org/

Does Tesla describe it as a RESTful API , though? By the looks of things, the author has discovered it and decided to call it RESTful himself, even though it's just an HTTP API. A RESTful API is more than just using GET to access resources

I think it's in case Google's auth (or even Google itself!) goes down—Facebook's was down the other day, and if you don't provide alternative sign-in mechanisms, users can't sign in.

Honestly, this type of pedantry is pointless. We all understood what he meant. English is an evolving language, and many of the things that are "correct" today were similarly "incorrect" yesterday.
