You could take some time to familiarize yourself with Docker and how to deploy a full-stack application as a set of "microservices" that talk to each other. It's really helpful for getting closer to understanding infrastructu

Mastercard is a competitor to Visa. 2nd layers for Bitcoin can scale to many thousands of transactions per second.

Because it won't be expensive. Visa does something like $11 trillion in volume per year. Why does anybody use that if visa takes 1-2%? 1% of 11 trillion is 110 billion. With that amount of fee revenue you'd be able to secure the B

That's a bummer. You mentioned California specifically and one of the things discussed in the book is how charter schools in California specifically were neutered in important ways to basically remove their advantages; to remove what a

As mentioned elsewhere in this thread, it is morally consistent to take something that you paid for, while putting forth an argument that you should not have been made by others to pay for it in the first place.

That the policy was arrived at democratically doesn't change the fact that if something is taken from you, it is morally consistent to take it back, while arguing that the policy of taking in the first place is wrong.

Yes, the Spanish flu infected 1/3 of the world and resulted in 50 million deaths. It's possible covid-19 will get there as well but we're not anywhere close to that yet.

You can start with supporting charter schools. They're public schools that are allowed to push out of typical restrictions and teach children in new ways. Overall, they're an excellent investment and the data shows that they work.
