Not relevant to the OP, but: I had never heard this phrase used so much before moving out here to California. Is it a local thing? I think it's especially over-represented here when preceded by "so": "So, it turns out that virality is a big

Yes, that's what I'm already doing. The question is what to put as your core.excludesfile setting in the .gitconfig file.

All I want is to be able to use home-directory notation (like ~bdr/.gitignore) in my .gitconfig, so I can use the same config across different machines. Does anyone know how to do this?

Regardless of Google's intentions, it's going to be perceived as part of their feud with Apple. Anyone can make a demo, but Google has yet to demonstrate that they can execute well on hardware.

Well it was taking like 20 seconds to do my cleanup. Five seconds still sucks for users. IIRC, remove has to recurse to every child to check for stored data, so I'm just removing the nodes manually and eating the tiny data memory leak. edit

This is cool. remove() was a bottleneck for my app, but a constant-fraction speedup won't be enough to fix it. I'll have to dig in and see if it actually works differently now.

Note that this doesn't directly tell you what people want. It tells you what people want and aren't getting . For example, the fact that boyfriends don't search for "...love me" doesn't mean that they don't want to be loved; maybe they wan
