The tutorial needs work. How would I know what's a good place to build a city? Bigger problem: I explored a little bit, and then suddenly I couldn't do anything anymore with no explanation.

Parent comment refers to the previous title of this submission, which was changed by a moderator. Unfortunately I think the submission needs the linkbaity title to get upvotes; this was my second try at submitting it.

I take this to mean "Are software companies overvalued relative to the rest of the economy?" No. I can't prove my side -- like in the stock market, no one can -- but it's hard to put a cap on how well the software sector will do. Every acti

From a design perspective, I'm least happy about all the low-contrast text. I see this grey-on-white too many places, and it dramatically reduces usability.

Actually, cperciva is right here. Factoring is in NP, therefore if P=NP then there is a polynomial-time algorithm for factoring. Many problems harder than NP are NP-complete, so saying factoring is in NP-complete would not imply the conclus

This is easy: just put your algorithm behind a web API. When I'm solving my NP-complete problems instantaneously, for free, I'll believe you.

I was imagining a simpler model, where different areas of the beard are either present or not; length doesn't matter. If you're growing one part out, you might as well grow all of it out. Therefore, in this model, you only "grow" to the ful

What's the minimal number of such beard-paths required to cover the beard-graph, and what's the best algorithm to construct such a cover? Now, suppose we weight each beard-vertex by how long it takes to grow -- what's the least-weight beard
