When you think about all the setup, SysAdmin stuff, backups, scaling, etc you'll avoid, $200 a month ($2.4k) is pretty cheap to be able to just switch a scalable db on at a moments notice.

Thanks gnok! Indeed, an RSS feed would be cool. In the queue ;) The reverse is solved by Instapaper or ReadItLater. This is the reverse of those apps :)

If you keep the webpage open (extension to come), it'll open the link that you sent to the service. It'll be there waiting for you when you get back to your computer See my reply to derek

There is! (if I understand correctly) It's hacky, but if you keep the webpage open, any links you send from your mobile will "push" (technically, it pulls) to your browser!

While I do think that $41mm is crazy, I agree with unohoo. If they're getting that much money from Sequoia, you can sure as hell bet they're not investing in "just another photo sharing app". Part of $41mm is because of the team, but I'm be

While I agree that the privacy of this feels a little weird, it's always opt in, just like 4sq is opt in. If you don't intend your photos to show up at a location, don't take photos on Color.

I think it was less about speed and more about trying to replace peoples' editor / workflow. People are very particular about the tools they use and putting the editor and deployment in the browser doesn't do much in terms of productivity (
