Excellent reason and that's why I typically do it too (well I have another reason in launchly now but before that...). Why do you provide feedback here though and not other places (not launchly specifically)?

by bdmac97 17y ago
That does help but I'm still not understanding why you WOULD write up a review/feedback here but not there. A bit off the primary topic of but you mentioned a system where people could type a couple of words in review of the site. Was ther

Interesting idea. I'm not in love with the logo and the page seems a bit unorganized but not too bad. I would also like to invite you to add your app to my site, launchly. Launchly is all about getting feedback and attention for new web ap

Looks like a pretty clean, well designed app. I personally like the big footer. I would like to invite you to add your app to my site, launchly. Launchly is all about getting feedback and attention for new web apps. We track all aspects

Yah, just try telling people to use the launch of launchly on launchly to give you feedback. It's fun in a twisted sort of way.

I like the look of your site but that's probably because, to me, it looks almost exactly like CampaignMonitor. Very clean and well layed out but verrrrry similar. Your information and what you do is very clean and easy to grok although it'

Ouch, that is going to be a pretty tough sell IMO. As others have said the schools have so much invested in whatever software/process they use they will be unlikely to switch.

I use the Gimp too for my graphics work since I'm not a designer really. One suggestion would be to download one of the free icon sets out there like crystal or such and find a transparent bg png of a standard no/delete symbol and overlay

I agree with some of the others about the scribd slideshow on the front page. Maybe link to it instead? I have no problem with you using scribd/slideshow instead of a video. I believe scribd allows you to customize the player and potenti

Very nice response by the PHP team IMO. I fell out of love with PHP a looong time ago but harbor them no ill-will. Seeing how silly some (most?) of the suggestions Google gave was very disappointing.

Thanks a lot. I really hope everyone that would typically submit a post like this one (review my site) on HN submits their launch to launchly!

Agreed (obviously haha). There are so many web apps coming out every day it's almost too much! How do you keep track of all of that? Launchly! :-)

That is a great comment. I did start this to "scratch my own itch" as you say, because I could not find what I wanted/needed. Specifically it is very difficult to get multiple rounds of feedback on a site at places like HackerNews. I do n
