I've been using the xmonad window manager, which is roughly 1000 lines. While not a vastly complex system, it's non-trivial, especially solving things like gui interaction in a side-effect free world. I believe they had to use som

I never saw anything obvious last time I was there. CSIS HQ is a stone's throw from there, but that's probably unrelated.

To the side of the discussion at hand: I don't think anyone except 'Gen Xers' call 'Gen Yers' as 'Gen Y'. That's not something we do. Ever.

I use all of these so I upvoted all of them. At home I use a Windows machine, two Arch Linux boxes, and an ARM Arch distro. I have a VPS with Ubuntu on it. At work I mostly use FreeBSD as my workstation and the production server cluster use

Caching them in local fucntion scope should be harmless. For instance: grabbing #x, using it inside a decision structure and iterator. Caching #x as a global constant is probably setting you up for some fun debuging later.

This theme has been around for decades and only underlines the inability of decision makers to make rational decisions on things they lack a fundamental understanding of. I suppose the lesson here is: honor and honesty gets you in hot water

Have you thought about sending the HTML of that data back instead of computing the JSON encoding? Your server side could actually parse the DOM and possibly preserve things like fonts/styles when loading into excel (I know how giddy ma

I suppose that's my issue. Dynamically searching or sorting wouldn't require converting to JSON, I'd rather work with the existing table object: tableName.rows[rowNum].cells[cellNum] Instead of loading all of that into a vari

I like to tell IEEE754 as an improvised story, because it's so rich in history as far as data types go. They were first introduced in 1941 on the German made Z3 compuer. Whic means, yup, we can blame nazis for 0.1+0.2 == 0.300000000000
