As an external observer I have to say that this is what they would appear to be for. There does not seem to be a shortage of skilled developers in the USA - least of all around such companies as IBM (who are large "users" of such visas).

You will probably get mixed opinions. I prefer that a "sign-up" page gives clear indications of the minimum standards required for passwords (although these should be inclusive and not exclude characters). Validating the user name is always

Interesting question. If you were sending a single pre-filled iPod to a mate in another country then you would not care one way or another. So - I suspect your question is rather broader than that. Care to share?

I thought it was an Indian (or maybe Chinese) 3 year old - oh no that was probably the Daily Mail. All nonsense of course. I suppose it does no good to wonder why such gets posted here on HN.

Yes - I ran a trial a while back to see just how difficult it would be to get a common HTML/CSS/JavaScript set to work across iOS and Android browser variants for a non trivial graphical app. [It was quite difficult - much simpler to write

Clearly you will want to validate their skill set - this may mean acting like an employer about to recruit a new employee before offering to partner. You might also need to check that their history will not be a problem when you come to rai

OK just a couple of points from a very personal perspective. You would appear to have done a lot of work to solve a perceived problem; but it is not a problem that I recognise. I have some understanding of scope in JavaScript and I am conte

There is an HN convention that post titles are not editorialised but posted "as is". I suppose this could have had something added in brackets (like one would do for an old item) but I can see that might have undermined the approach of the

This was clearly a skit or parody used to make an important point. The content is not the title. Just saying.

The whole point of the piece was not to suggest that Apple should buy Intel but to point out the burden that their cash mountain represents in reality.

This idea is presumably based upon the notion that there is an even distribution of the relevant monopoly "tokens" across a given market. Think about that a little - in terms of the potential prize liability for MacDs. The normal way of con

I was going to ask the same question - read your reply - but I still do not get it. This is not going to work as an idea validation survey unless you explain your value proposition clearly.

But it makes them way easier to find next time a government invades another country. Politicians do not like to get "caught" twice - well unless it is an indiscreet sexual liaison. (cynical me?)
