And MacOS, which I suspect may be the more obvious choice for many users.

I thought this was what happened. Clearly not :( That’s the idea with services like 1Password (which I suppose is ultimately doing the same thing) - you need both the key held on the device and the password. I suppose this all falls apart w

Disagree. If the path is shrouded behind key presses and commands which are unpublished by MS (and in some instances routes that have been closed), it may as well be.

The German suppliers they link do European centric MOCA too! Looking seriously at these guys - the previous owners who renovated put decent CoAx absolutely everywhere, 4 BT lines for the outside office, and 0 Ethernet in.

I’ve tried that over fairly short lengths at home, and ended up with flapping even locked to 10HDX

Maybe we should just treat the pipe as insecure and focus on encrypting the app layer. Voice calls and SMS are presumably getting less and less popular.

If it’s at all representative, I had to replace 2 of the dell ultra sharp super ultra wides due to failing USB C hub / PD parts. I gave up at that point.

Have we not all given up on pis at this stage? I’ve got ESP32s for edge I/O, Nucs/VMs for the crunch. What’s the Pi doing?

I’d (un-)intuitively thought it would be way more than that. I know 3 people with subscriptions, and assumed that would scale!

AIUI most hypervisors offer vTPM - it’s disabled by default often, but most solutions have it (including Proxmox / KVM (using swtpm)

Other points aside, I didn’t think ISPs were meant to issue space as small as a 64.

I think many still recognise the train, car, going for a run / cycle, gym… isn’t an optimum listening environment and the convenience significantly outweighs AQ in a lot of situations.

If you’re keen on dabbling, focusing on one and making it your own is a great way to go. You might find that the distro was standing in your way when you start from something more bare metal.

In the UK we are lucky to have a bit better of the system - Openreach (or Virgin) own the cables, and ISPs pay Openreach to do the transit. IP based not dark fibre unfortunately. That said, most ISPs won’t escalate when there’s an OR proble
