Interesting, I thought the point of not wanting CLAs was not giving them the ability to relicense your code under a more restrictive license (i.e. SSPL), not to keep them from running away with it.

In Germany, it is nearly never like that, and always about accepting profiling. You don't even get ad-free. You pay 3€ a month to not get profiling on one site, it's completely absurd.

It will be interesting to see, whether Affinity will switch to subscriptions in the service. Officially "it's not planned".

Thank you. I think Big Tech is already quite close to the worst perceivable non compliance, but I guess we'll see.

If there is competition offering ad-free services, this would be an option. But for large parts, there isn't.

Does someone know what the minimum fine is gatekeepers face? All sources I find only talk about the maximum fine of 10% EDIT: Or maybe rather an expected fine, we saw with GDPR that the maximum fine isn't really used much, if at all.

I've always wondered how on earth this is compliant with GDPR, you do not consent to anything of it.

Isn't the bigger issue that these bridges require you still to have a whatsapp account? So it's just a different frontend, but you're still bound by Meta's TOS, PP and data collection.

Yes I used it for navigation (when I was on GrapheneOS). it's a bit unintuitive maybe at first, when you punch in a destination a few buttons are in the bottom bar for depart from, depart to, favourite and so on. If you choose one, it

in such a situation, the only reasonable decision is to give up/destroy the power. i think you'd be foolish to trust yourself (and expect others) to not accidentally leak it/make a mistake.

Really cool and promising product, but why the .ai TLD? It feels like an unnecessary focus.

I did not want to ask anyone to change it with the question, heck I'm not sure I want to with all the conveniences they provide - there's a reason why basically everyone has at least one account with big tech. Still, I think it&#x

Interesting, thanks for sharing. Does your bank offer alternative methods other than a smartphone app for TAN generation or how do you manage to not sideload banking apps? Do you use FOSS apps to consume SoundCloud/YT?

Im not so sure, with enough incentive (in terms of exclusive features) and a slow roll-out (i.e. WhatsApp continues to exist on existing stores) it might very well happen.
