This is absolutely brilliant. Pushing the clock from software seems like it'd help the issue with syncing the encoded framerate on streaming video to the display, as well. I wonder if the non-uniform refresh of a 60fps and 24fps video

It's not symmetric! None of Henry Waxman's friends are friending him back, but they're mostly in a clique with each other. Lonely little CA-33, nobody understands you...

Right, but "any kind of icebreaker" is a superset of "superfluous apology". It's a hypothetical extension of the result, not a flaw in the study. Saying there was no proper control condition is flat wrong. There is

I think it's going to far to call the study seriously flawed: The core claim presented "we find that superfluous apologies increase trust in the apologizer" is being properly controlled (superfluous apology, acknowledgment, o

Anyone know what format the floppies are expecting? It won't accept a DOS 6.22 install disk from MSDN, maybe it doesn't like DMF? Also, swapping disks during the install might be an issue, I don't see a button...

Nitpicking because this tripped me up: You can do this in-place and in O(n) time by repeatedly partitioning the array in half (by value) and discarding the smaller half. I'd have needed a hint that you can do it in one pass to have not

I often see these "plot the output of the RNG on a 2d grid" things. I understand they're useful for demonstrating non-randomness, but if you're searching for patterns, do they reveal anything an FFT wouldn't?
