I see. I encourage you to try it with larger projects and see if it makes a difference. That said, the speed is only one reason I use it. I find its ergonomics are the best in the Python tools I’ve tried. For example it has better dependenc

Don’t think it does. You see the import errors when you run your code and you add the requirements to your project.

Just try it. The hype is real. I stopped using pyenv, pyenv-virtualenv, poetry, and native pip because uv is just that sticky. Just install it and try running something using the —-with flag. That’s where I became intrigued.

This is kinda how I treat it. I figured that I have already set the requirements in the pyproject.toml file. Should I be committing the lock file?

Claude has been adding PYTHONPATH to test commands, and for some reason, the “don’t ask again” doesn’t stick for these types of commands. So I’ve been trying to get it to use make commands, which can modify the environment, and don’t trigge

I’ve tried putting “stop and ask for help” in prompts/rules and it seems like Cursor + Claude, up to 3.7, is highly aligned against asking for help.

Update the old code, but make sure you’re using short (<350 line) files, and improve the type safety and code structure if possible. You have to guide these models. Vibe coding does not work.

It’s possible to get to know the quirks of these models and intuit what will and won’t work, and how to overcome those limitations. It’s also possible to just get to know, like, and trust their voice. I’m certain that brand awareness is als

Try being more specific - about what you’re trying to accomplish - how it should be accomplished - which files are in context Also try keeping file length below 350 LOC.
