NestedVM was able to do this over a decade ago. http://git.megacz.com/?p=nestedvm.git;a=summary And is actually open source, not "free for open source". Kudos to the developers though, I'm not trying to bash

Also keep in mind this article is in the Wall Street Journal... take it with a grain of stock price PR salt... sadly developers and engineers at IBM are going to get the sh* end of that stick. Anecdotally... we have a lot of IBM stuff here

It sure is possible. When I got out of the army I had no degree, no professional experience, just what I had taught myself and learned in a few classes that I had taken along the way. I went to work at a software sweatshop that had low pay

Thank you for putting this presentation. Always nice to cut through the hype and see how things really work. I knew Docker used namespacing for some quasi-virtualization, but was wary of using it because I haven't had time to dissect i

I completely disagree that patents protect "the little guy" with the best ideas from those with the most money. Patents make it illegal to implement ideas. So if you come up with the best ideas, you are the one that is the most re

To clarify, I was making a point about the implication inherent in a "This vs. That" comparison... IMHO it is a total distraction, especially with contrived benchmarks, no matter how good they are. A few years back I remember Bria

Look, Java is my right hand language, and I've never written a single line of Go in my life. But this is kind of unfair I think... the OpenJDK JVM has 20 years of development behind it, and has probably had mountains of money sunk into
