The linked example is very neat: https://notes.andymatuschak.org/About_these_notes The source code is not available, and each mouseover triggers a lot of Ajax calls (one for the note hovered, one for each link in the hovere

I think typing efficiently on a keyboard is akin to playing the piano with good technique. I often see musicians playing piano (or keyboard synths) with improprer technique. They move their wrist a lot, bend their finger backwards to apply

I learned a lot about useEffect thanks. I initially clicked for the visual explanation but ended up enjoying the written explanation more. I think the problem with your visuals is the lack of depth in the colors. Especially because of the g

Agreed. Audacity is great for quick audio editing but the selecting/dragging/zooming experience is quite annoying. It would be great to have Ableton’s bird-eye view feature, it’s super intuitive and really responsive.

It seems to me I’m in the minority by being a minimalist here? I have at most 10 tabs open. Same for Sublime Text open files. I regularly close all but one tab/file just to reset my cognitive load. This does force me to rely on the his

Having used Logic (on and off) for almost a decade, and Ableton for more than that, I recently decided to stop using Logic. I know both softwares pretty well (I read both manuals) but in the end, having 2 DAWs is useless. I think overall, L

I appreciate the effort in improving CSS dev tools. I rely on them a lot, and just looking at those slides you can see how difficult of a problem it is to solve. Flexbox and CSS Grid have introduced another level of complexity, in that, the

Yes, I think you should at least display them as what they are: testimonials from friends, not tweets from happy users. Whenever I see a collection of (legitimate) user tweets, it gives me reassurance that a) the product is liked b) the pro

Nice looking website, but may I ask: are these tweets legit? There's no username or permalink, and a quick search didn't return anything… I'm always concerned by products endorsed through fake testimonials. I'm all for a

It all comes down to: 1. If two users access the same page, do they see the same content? 2. How often do you update the content of the website? The reason to ask yourself 1) is to know if the content has to be generated on the

Per user per month. So Slack's "$6.67 per u/m" means each month you pay $6.67 for each user who has signed up. Your company has 20 users? You pay $133.40 each month.
