Wish they could improve the language syntax. It's so unnecessarily verbose. Moonscript did a good job improving Lua.

I don't think the issues with Windows 10 bloat is historical. In fact, I recommend removing 10 and using 7 instead. 10 is just a bad joke that makes a brand new PC look like times square.

Precisely. This is a niche: ERP/CRM mix for mom and pop shops, so they can afford the software and not get swamped in integrations/complex docs.

Well, they need to track orders, send newsletters to their customers, some help preparing physical newsletters, track inventory, etc. The basics. However, they do it all with Excel right now, so some intelligence from a CRM would be nice: f

What would you recommend for a mom and pop ecommerce? Trying to find something for a couple of friends, but everything is bloated and complex.

The reason Finland is doing this is the same why you are being down-voted for posting scientific data: political agenda. Science mostly doesn't matter, only when it fits your favorite narrative.

It is particularly funny to see Europe trying to scold Brazil's actions, given that many of the social and economical issues that the country faces are direct consequences of European colonialism exploitation.

Correct. Marina Silva continuously warned about these issues since she left the government: https://politica.estadao.com.br/noticias/geral,marina-marca-...

Wow, got down voted for asking a question on which web application server I should use with Rails today. Really?
78.
by bbmario 7y ago
As a matter of fact, yes. Not as big as GitHub, but bigger than Shopify. So the choice of application server matters, as well as how easy it is to scale and provision that server.

What is the fastest web server for Rails today? I've always wanted to run something serious with Rails, but the performance always puts me off.

Is it 29MB for production dependencies, or dev and prod?

By that logic, shouldn't you be creating a var for the expression_argument() return?

How do you start a new Python project in 2019? I mean, there's so much stuff. Poetry, pip, virtualenv... oh, my. With PHP, I just composer init and that's it.

I don't understand frameworks like this. You are basically tying presentation with markup. God forbid you want to create more than one theme for the same HTML!

Curious about this too. I want a smart lock, but don't want it on someone else's cloud.
