Microsoft's loss is gamers' gain in this area I think. Besides, MSFT is almost $500, so they're doing something right.

I've been using vhs ( https://github.com/charmbracelet/vhs ) to script gif creation- really showcases CLI workflows if you're demoing multiple commands. Examples: https://github.com/bbkane

I ended up writing my own zsh prompt a few years ago and it's worked like a charm for my simple needs: https://github.com/bbkane/dotfiles/blob/master/zsh/dot-zshrc... ends up looking like this:

OP said they want completion support, which Kong doesn't include. https://github.com/jotaen/kong-completion exists, but the last commit was 2 years ago.

It would be really cool if Fang could generate a TUI form for your app with https://github.com/charmbracelet/huh (by the same org). Is something like that on the roadmap? Similar work: https://github.com

I agree- multiple return values don't compose; errors are better than exceptions, but still super verbose; channels have a lot of foot guns; enums are just sad. But despite all of that the language has some really good qualities too- i

And yet Rust in the one in the Linux and Windows kernels, so people must think it's worth the effort. https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1577667445719912450.html is certainly a glowing recommendation

AWS recently mentioned something called PObserve in an ACM article. They said it checks logs emitted from the running application against the formal model. Sounds really useful for this exact problem; hopefully one day they'll open sou

The smallest unit of compilation in Rust is the crate, not individual files unfortunately. That's why you'll see larger projects like Wezterm or uv use workspaces to try to tame compile times.

From the outside (I haven't tried it), committing to ClojureScript for an application looks very similar to committing to a framework - it's a heavy influence in how you will write code.

I saw that, but Go doesn't use dynamically linked libraries for encryption, so I don't think it helps in this particular case.

Does this work for Go binaries? My understanding is that Go programs do all the encryption "in the process" so the data is encrypted before eBPF can intercept it. I'd love to be wrong about that!

The thing I really need from my markdown editor is pasting images that then show inline, so I don't have to waste screen space with a "preview pane". So far the only editor I've found that does this is Typora.

I do this too; but I'm looking to try the container approach when I can't use a single binary (i.e. someone else's Python project).

You might look into https://openobserve.ai/ - you can self host it and it's a single binary that ingests logs/metrics/traces. I've found it useful for my side projects.
