Excellent point. What I have never understood is that while the US constitution is relatively robust and, for the better part, has withstood the test of time, it is a document written to reflect the late 18th century, yet for some reason 2

While I think there is some truth in the article, and the lack of innovation in SV, one should probably remind the author that some of the more interesting pure technology startups are still SV based. To pick two close to my interests Comp

My favorite memory of shopping in Vietnam (this was 25 years ago) was the shopkeeper writing down the price on a pad and handing you the pen and pad expecting a counter offer. You usually ended up half way between the two values. That expe

No disagreement on those points. I've just spent too much time in the field with people suddenly claiming that protein folding was nanotech.

I've been accused of being too much of a stickler on this, but while the ribosome and other biological machinery are at the nanoscale, but they are NOT nanotechnology. If you use the Drexlerian definition, nanotech much be engineered, which

I actually get a ton of value out of Twitter both personally and professionally (it's a question of who you choose to follow). However, what your expectations from Twitter are shouldn't be the same as your expectations from a blog. It's g
