When I used to live in Chicago and bike race, this was one of the local sprint finish points on weekend group rides. A long flat road into a short climb and some of my favorite memories. There's also a beautiful cobbled street on the

I work in this industry, and you have it right. Peaker plants are still valuable and serve a different need than solar. We might one day get to a point where batteries are the better option, but for now it's still just not economical

I almost always fly SW, and it's my least favorite flying experience. Why do I fly it often then? It's not the cost, I am rarely paying out of pocket for the flights, as they're typically work related. It's just simpl

Another fun fact about sloths. My wife is curator of a zoo and they have had some in the past. That slow digestion the article mentions? They probably have some of the worst smelling feces of any animal in the wild.

A large part of this is there are several companies that are effectively the modernized scalpers using very high dollar pay-per click advertising, and incredibly complex optimization methods to charge the maximum markup they can. Most of t

Yeah, that's what I thought. I didn't want to assume, but it's the same in my Volt, if the 12V goes bad, the locks don't open. That said, it's trivial to get around that. Definitely just rage bait here.

Feels a bit like rage bait to me. “I’ll never buy another Tesla again,” he added. “That’s the long way of me saying stay the f*k away from Teslas. They’re brutal cars, brutal manufacturing, and even worse, they’re a 10-year-old company.” It

Not to mention the overuse of the term "gaslighting". What used to mean a serious systematic method of making someone question reality is now simply "lied", apparently.

My wife and I rented the double subnado things last time we were out of town diving. Seems that fits the pretty rich and lazy market much better.

Which European car? Nearly every one sold in the US has a "US Version" that has to go through DOT rules to be sold here, or even imported if under 25 years old. Otherwise I'd be rolling around in a new VW California.

Plug in hybrid, not pure BEV, but my 2014 GM Volt has 275K on it, have had to do minimal maintenance. Probably use 80-90% on battery only, few road trips where I've used gas. I have a BEV as well, and I have to say - I don't unde
