Good point. Some things you will learn by necessity, but if you dont know about say regexes you probably wont think of searching specifically for such a tool.

Perhaps if you already know C#, otherwise I doubt it. Of course it depends on ones prior experience, but F# is functional but still requires you to understand OO in order to interact with the framework.

The “classic editions” will probably be deluxe and more expensive, so overall it might be a win-win for the publisher. If they dont sell they will be discontinued, if they sell they will continue to be published. > possibly even make mon

But ignorance of the law is not a defence. Given everything can be assumed to be under copyright, I don’t see how it can be a valid denfense that you “didnt know” something was under copyright.

But when would you “unknowingly” violate copyright, when everything is under copyright by default?

It is like writing your name inside your jacket. It might help you in case of disputes or if it gets lost, but it doesn’t in itself change the ownership of the jacket.

The year in a copyrigt notice is supposed to be the year when the work was first published. So updating just the year would technically be wrong. That said, it doesn’t matter much since the notice is purely informational - it doesnt actuall

Pop music was produced on an assembly-line at least since the 1940’s eg the Brill building style. Of couse some of the music produced like this was great art.

> The inability to handle commas as terminators rather than separators is a disaster that immensely complicates generating arbitrary json. This is a bit over the top. At worst you need a flag to special-case the first item.

I started watching a tv-show, but turned it off since almost all of the characters were policemen. I found this very fake and unrealistic sine policemen are only a small fraction of the population.

Surely that depends on the setting? In any case, nobody complains that fiction contains too many policemen, detectives or cowboys compared to the average distribution in society.

Agree, although it gets tricky with translations. For childrens litterature there is a tradition of re-tellings of classics. But this seem to present as the original, which is problematic. Some jurisdictions have the concept of moral rigts,
