I think they are working on that slowly. Lots of stuff is moving to Swift. Including bits of iMessage.

Image I/O has been mentioned elsewhere. Suspect it's code that's running in process from that library that's doing it.

They're slowly rewriting the whole thing in Swift which should eventually eliminate most of the non architectural attack vectors. Most of them were mitigated in iOS 14 where they did some rather large architectural changes. Edit: Furth

Mostly buggy shit that you pay for support on and they never fix. O365 weirdness and data loss. Worst was completely hosing 80 users’ machines with InTune bug. McDonalds price, McDonalds quality. But unlike McDonalds, long lasting and expen

Having dealt with Microsoft for 30 years as both a power user and developer, "we believe in standing behind our customers when they use our products" , is a lie.

I think you're reading me wrong. I spent a good deal of time working on SunOS (right back to m68k stuff), Solaris, HP/UX, Linux and FreeBSD over the years and use macOS now and am more than aware of the inconsistencies. My point i

That's mostly rubbish though. The reason ls works perfectly fine today is no one dares fuck with the interface in case they break everything that depends on 30 years of assumptions even if they do suck a little bit. That includes all t

That's because the whole idea of a redaction system is stupid. You can't start out with something unconstrained and expect to patch all the holes in it. Mathematically speaking, you start with set A which is all possibilities and
