This is a really neat product I will add the following. Years ago when I wrote algorithms to optimize inventory for consumer package goods companies I regularly heard a particular saying. “Getting I’m to Walmart is easy staying in at Walmar

Besides the standard PiHole VPN so on I have several RPis I use. 1. I run Samba to manage access to provide AD to my home computers and manage the attachment of various network shares. 2. I have a RPi with an attached set of 12v switch con

I think this is bad advice, yes there is a performance hit but chances are any eventual malware (which lets be honest if it doesn't already exist is being written as we speak) that exploits these vulns will in its execution probably im

Agreed, I think the nuance here is that in compsci terms "speculative" tends to mean "ok, so I can prove that architecturally that this is 100% possible. I simply lack (either) the labor hours needed to write code (or) the ha

I don't know if anyone has suggested this but low temps can cause condensation on the board if you live in a high humidity area. This could have the effect of shorting the board.

Why is it that when I look at equations it’s all just nonsense but send me a gist example and all the sudden it’s the music of the universe.

TL;DR consensus models are flawed in that an actor with enough computing power can manipulate the system. A blockchain of hashes is not in it self flawed, but it can be rewritten if someone overpowers the rest of the system. This has always

I don't see any reason you can't do both of these things. A benefit to open sourcing the code might be that it gets feedback from a wider audience beyond peer review.

So browsers have started to do a lot of rewrite on the periferal verbs. Grab XMLHttpRequest and start returning different content types in the header and body. Depending what browser you are in you will start to see things go inconsistently

You can really implement anything under any verb... Given the flexibility of http as a standard. I have always hoped to some day stumble across some madlad who scales a large production system on the back of DELETE Although sadly browsers a

I don't disagree with the OP here per say. However I do think OP made a mistake by using Hadoop as the example. Hadoop has much more in common with an OS at this point than a single application. The ability to download a single compone

So I think this is pretty misleading. I could see how mapping against IPFS could improve mapping because IPFS uses more advanced replication strategies than HDFS. But the reducing step would be really important to measure here and my guess
