This surprises you how? It's just software controlling hardware. Heck, they can flash that led to music if they wanted.

That's pretty much the definition of tokenized. I know Oracle would like us to think different, but facts are facts

As having a masters in computer science I respectfully disagree with you. Would you consider a program that translates C code to FORTRAN a compiler? Nope, it's a translator. A compiler compiles a language into a direct executable. Just

Compiled means it's a direct executable in machine code. Java ain't that. Heck, if it needs a runtime with a garbage collector built into the runtime it's especially junk.

Why is lidar so expensive? And still needs to be miniaturized. But time should solve those problems, there's enough engineering effort.

I thought java was tokenized, not compiled. That's why you need their runtime environment isn't it?

All of my Tesla updates have been production updates. All software has bugs, and Tesla is one of the most innovative and responsible software companies. Compare that to Microsoft, for example. Or Oracle. Lots of their software runs medical

Nice option to have, can't wait until they expand it to more commonly used languages of the world.

Yeah. I used openlook on a Sun grayscale monitor. Would be interesting to see what it looks like in color.

CDE killed off openlook, another nice desktop environment mostly on Sun workstations. Lots of time spent on both, with my optical mouse and optical mouse pad. Looks like there's an open source clone though https://sourceforg

Forth seems to be one of those write once languages like perl. Easy to start writing and building, but come back to the code in a year or so, no clue what it does. But really fast and efficient.

That's great news! Now if they can solve the same problem with sea water, California, Arizona and Nevada can reduce their reliance on the Colorado river and grow more crops. It is only a matter of time before it's solved. Great wo

It's great how it grew out of simple packet filtering into tracing and monitoring. It's one of those great tools most should know. Been using it for years.

Ice cars have a much higher rollover risk compared to EVs. All the data supports that along with physics. Absolutely weight distribution. Compare the heavy battery in an EV vs the heavy motor that's up a bit higher in an ice car. Prett

Doesn't matter your promise, even though you may or may not be trusted, hackers can get it and steal it all. So it's not necessarily you or your service.

Decreases your tendency to flip over. I'm astonished by all the dashcam videos out there showing collisions, usually the first thing an ice car does is flip over. Not EVs though.

If you read the article it implies driver fault not car fault. Tesla receiving the highest ever crash safety ratings echos that.
